Various news and information are conveyed to the general public through various media including television, radio, magazines, newspapers, etc. The chosen media categories and facilities consider the purpose of building a brand’s long-term equity. Choosing media and marketing communication tools is the most difficult of all marketing communication decisions. Media planning must also choose specific facilities in each mass media and decide how to allocate the existing budget among various alternative media and facilities. Media planning involves coordinating three levels of strategy formulation, namely: marketing strategy, advertising strategy, and media strategy. If all the plans can be arranged appropriately and intelligently, the planning carried out will achieve the company’s strategic objectives. This training will provide an understanding of media strategic planning to support the marketing communication process which is very beneficial for personnel in the field of public relations, marketing, etc.
